Studying at a college or university is a popular route into a career in Highways and Transportation.
Transport is part of everyone’s lives; it connects communities and supports the economy. The highways and transportation industry offers an interesting and exciting range of opportunities that allow you to get involved in all aspects of the building, maintenance, operation, design and planning of transport networks.
CIHT is one of the five professional institutions that make up the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM). The JBM accredits college and university courses in Civil, Structural and Highway and Transportation Engineering at Foundation, Bachelors and Masters degree levels. In addition, CIHT and the Transport Planning Society approve a range of Masters programmes in Transport Planning. If you complete an accredited course, you will have achieved all, or part, of the learning that you need to apply for professional qualification and registration.

If you are a student on a Highways and Transportation programme, you can join CIHT as a Student Member by completing an online form. Student membership is FREE.
