Earlier in the year Britannia Walk organised a workshop that formed part of Transport for the South East’s work to develop their Transport Strategy. Today it was host to an event that focused on the Outline Transport Strategy published by England’s Economic Heartland.

The added value that CIHT can bring in organising such events is that it provides the opportunity for organisations from the three partner networks to be part of the work that is shaping the new generation of regional strategies. The breadth of perspective that is accessible via CIHT’s partner networks helps ensure a greater diversity of views is fed into the development of policies and proposals.

A packed day engendered some fascinating and thought provoking discussions that the EEH team took away to reflect on as they develop the draft Transport Strategy over the course of the winter and spring.
