Michael has 20 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Consultants. He is undertaking a wide variety of Highways and Transportation projects from local junction improvement to multi-million projects nationally in the UK and Republic of Ireland. He is a Principal Engineer in Roughan & O’Donovan Consulting Engineers based in Otley office near Leeds.
Michael undertakes professional reviews for CIHT and provides professional development advice to professionals.
Ed is a chartered transport planning specialist based in Leeds with Mott MacDonald with over fifteen years experience in the UK and abroad. His experience covers transport policy and strategy, modelling and sustainable transport, including the recently published West Yorkshire Connectivity Infrastructure Plan.
He has served on several CIHT Regional Committees, including the North East and North West and was previously the CIHT Young Professionals Network chair and recipient of the CIHT National Young Professional of the Year. Currently, Ed is the coordinator of an international research initiative known as the Future Transport Visions Network, funded by Rees Jeffreys Road Fund.
Georgia is a Senior Transport Planner at WSP and has 6 years’ experience where her day-to-day roles involves leading and working on public sector transport projects. Georgia started her career in 2016 as an Apprentice Transport Planner where she studied the first of its kind Level 3 Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship at Leeds College of Building.
She is now studying the trailblazer Level 6 Integrated Degree at Aston University. In May 2022 Georgia became the Honorary Treasurer of CIHT Yorkshire and the Humber.
Andy is currently a freelance Project Manager having over 40 years experience in the Civil Engineering industry mainly with contractors.
Andy is a Graduate of the University of Leeds with a degree in Civil Engineering. He began his career as a graduate engineer in 1984 working for a for a small number of contractors before joining a Regional Contractor in 2006 as Project Manager on their first major highway scheme in Yorkshire. Andy became Regional Manager with the contractor in 2008, a role he carried out until November 2014. Andy has been mainly in freelance roles since 2014.
Andy is a Past Chair of the CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber Region. He is also a past Chair of The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (Yorkshire and Humberside), having previously been a member of the Executive Committee.
Sebastian is an associate in a small multidisciplinary consultancy in Leeds with over 14 years in private development, transport planning and engineering in both the UK and internationally. He is currently delivering multiple large housing and employment projects for national clients in Yorkshire and the Humber. Seb was Chair between 2021 - 2022.
Lucy was Chair of the Emerging Professionals Group from 2019 to 2021 and represented the young members on the Yorkshire & the Humber Committee. Lucy is a Transport Planner at SCP with 4 years’ varied experience in the field of Transport Planning and Infrastructure Design.
Prior to this Lucy taught as a secondary school Maths teacher having graduated with a Mathematics and Statistics degree in 2014. After realising teaching wasn’t for her Lucy began her career at SCP in 2016, subsequently completing a MSc in Transport Planning at the University of Leeds.
Lucy’s experience has included working with public and private sector organisations, both locally and nationally. She is experienced in both transport planning and highway design with a particular interest in accessibility planning, public transport and removal of access barriers to sustainable transport modes. Lucy has experience in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans at SCP, she also takes the lead on Travel Plan Coordinator roles at the Leeds office.
In her spare time, Lucy enjoys staying active and exploring the great outdoors!
